Epoxied the 44 front valence together
after cutting and piecing
together something that will fit.
The side marker light holes
were 7" inches reduced to 2"inches.

Filled and sanded smooth,I used a cheese grater then block sanded with
coarse grit and wet sanded with fine sand-
paper.

Marked a straight line with a magic marker and
grabbed some tin snips and cut the fender. I cut a
length of heavy guage metal stud so I had a L
shaped piece and clamped it on the fender and screwed
it in with framing screws then covered it and grated it a bit
so it wouldnt rust.Ill finish this weekend.

Joe, great looking job so far Can't wait to see how it all comes out. I'd be willing to give it a go myself this summer. |

the front was warped when it was wrapped under when the 944
wrecked so when I put together the center section I still have
do a bit of work to the drivers side dam part to even it out.
Im waiting for a sunny day. Or I might leave it. Looks cool though
dont you think. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

| Why didn't you get one that was straight to begin with? It is warped and the fog lights will point in different directions. Plus you lowered the front of the car by about two inches and did nothing to the sides or back. Your car now has a very heavy looking nose. Frankly the 944 is not a good looking car unless it is in turbo form and adding this to the 924 does nothing for it. Pushing the bumper in looks okay but it has left huge gaps between it and the valance. Also from the side the wheel well is not even close to symetrical. |

besides the warped air dam i think it looks very sharp from the front. nice job. from the side the wheel well shape is no longer round staying with the lines of the tire, maybe intentional, but now has a straight edge that makes it easy to see where the 944 fender begins and the 924 fender ends. _________________ '82 931

"No the foglite holders are not warped."All the warping is on the passenger side fender part as in the pic.So that side wanted to pull out when I went to connect them in the center. So I have to even out the contour of the dam
face as the passenger side is out a little farther maken it seem warped more than it is." I didnt lower the front of ther car at all" As for the symetrical wheel well " iguess I should of section out a little more
it really cool looken though as is. It does look lower even though it wasnt
lowered This was a big job it turned out good"maybe if" the 16x6 fuchs
and 215 55 16 tires rub in the back I know Ill be able to slightly flair the openings with custom homemade flairs.

As seen in the pic the front wasnt warped just the attechment
point riser on the passenger side the right side stands
up like a clipped eared Doberman Pincher the left
side lays down like a floppy eared Gold Labador. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

| By lower the front I didn't mean physically. Your visually lowered the front of the car and not the sides. |

Joe, Looks great from the front!! I definitely like the aggressive look of the valance compared to the original. Any thought now to adding side skirts to complete the look? BTW, how far in did you inset your front bumper? Mike _________________ 78 924 - The eternal project car |

From what I found searching thru old posts on the subject
anywhere fron 3to 3 1/2 inches I went all the way
compressing the shock after drilling a hole in it to
relieve the pressure. Im gonna get to the rearbumper soon. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na
