Actually unless you/we owned or bought our cars during that time we did nothing to help the company in the past. The 911 snobs didn't dislike the 924 community back then. Sure the 924 was not welcomed with open arms, but I doubt that 911 owners were to snobish with 931 owners. (remeber how much these ars were back then) But the 911 community dislikes the current 924 community. Frankly, I understand why.

actaully i should correct my earlier statement... it not so much the guys that have older 911s that dont seem to care for the 924... they are usually pretty cool about it. its the guys who drive the current 911's (996) and boxters... they tend to be VERY snobby here in Los Angeles. I guess they figure that because they paid 70,000 + for their Porsches that it makes them better porsche owners... but then again id love to see one of these guys even attempt to look under the hood/trunk of their cars... they might break a nail.

The only thing missing on that prototype is the rear light assemblies. Those vents on the quarter panel are pretty nice. Too bad we don't have a front view of the prototype. It might have an Audi spoiler for the front bumper.

I have pictures of the front of the car. It is god damn ugly. Be glad the car turned out as good as it did. That thing is hideous! I will try to scan and post them.

Ryan,
I've had 924's since the early 80's and a lot of the 911 guys at that time still didn't like the front engined cars whether it be 924 or the 928 and later the 944 and 968's butthat their problem not mine - I liked the 24 - it was more suitable for my purposes tahn a 911 and still is, hence my reason to stick with a 24 rather than go to a 911 based thing
