that's a ridiculous amount of money for a block of metal with two holes drilled in it.

I have one installed in my 968. Its absolutely fantastic!

Its not a short shift kit, so don't be misled. What it does do is tighten up the shift pattern, and takes all the slop out of it.

It took abut 3000 miles before mine was broken in, but now my car has crisp shifting with a nice positive feedback. Feels better then any new car Ive driven.

As for the price, it didn't seem so bad on the 968, but relative to the value of a 924 it would be quite an expensive mod for what it does. I think I would buy new OEM bushings before the shift block

like I said, block of metal, two holes, would take you 10 minutes to make on a drill press.

The one I just took off my car is made of plastic. Are they normally rubber or something?

it took out some of the slop in my linkage..but there is still some...might be that i forgot the tighten something properly down there....i'll check tomorrow.

I've made a few, they tighten up the shift nicely. I was planning on making a batch but I don't have a bandsaw and the plastic (I used oilon) is a bitch to cut by hand.

If people want these I could make them. I really don't see how it improves things though, being that the previous one is made from hard plastic and not likely to wear that much. At least the one I took off my car wasn't worn at all, all the slop in my shifter was due to loose bolts and a worn shifter pin.
