wow. i just put in my dash cover. looks okay. i know some parts of cover are gonna pop up overnight, and not grab the dash with the glue. i put some books and pushed some duct tape rolls between the windsheild to push it down, but the front of the dash board is still gonna be a *(&*(...

it says 8 hours to set, but im gonna give it an extra 4 hours. this heat isnt helping the glue set at all. thought id tell you guys about it.

cool. I need to do something about my dash. I was thinking about picking up a carpet cover until I can find a better solution. I don't know if I want to hold out for the chance a wrecking yard could get a 924 dash without cracks or just get a coverlay. How does it match with your vinyl grain? My dash is very cracked around the guage cluster so I think it wouldn't adhere well in that area.

Here is my answer to a dash cover. It's sitting with all my other spare parts.

Has anybody got a "refinishable" dash that has already been pulled out of a car that they're willing to sell? Mine is terribly cracked, and I have a huge piece of leather my sister gave me that I want to try my hand at using to recover one. I really want to try this on a dash that is "in-hand" rather than pulling mine and then fighting to refinish it. Who knows how long it might take, and I want to be able to use the car while that project is in the works.

yeah, the grain matches pretty good. to get a flush fit, you have to sand down the top of the dashboard, but it fits snuggly. of course the dash in the car isnt brand new, and wont match the coverlay perfectly, but if you have a black dash, and get a blash coverlay, it blends nicely.
my dashboard is black, but years of sun have faded it a bit, and its more of a really dark brown, but with the black cover, it came out good.
ill get some pictures with the digital camera, and put them on a webpage.

some one decided to open their door quickly in a parking lot when i wasnt around, and knocked my side mirrow off. the ENTIRE mirror. so that wil set me back a few days.

If you are looking for a nice and different dash cover go to WWW.PEFA.de and scroll down to the section on dashes. You will notice that one of the dash covers has gauges in the section in front of the radio grill.

About a year ago I asked them if I could represent them in the US. They said no. Oh well. Mention my name anyway.
