| The strangest hissing noise starting coming from under the hood on saturday. This past weekend I've put alot of highway miles on my car, about 150. It does it whenever I press the gas, whether moving or not. So I know it's the engine, but I'll be damned if I can find what's making the noise! Everything on the car still works fine. It's rather low pitched, it doesn't whistle, just a loud sound of air escaping from something. Please help! |

What model of 924 - is it turbo charged or N/A.
If turboed it could be a slight leak in the boost control lines |

| It's a CA. spec Non-turbo 1979. I checked all over again today, sometimes the sound gets very loud, I'm sure it's a belt, I think from the A/C compressor. The sound is coming from under the coolant expansion tank somewhere. This monday I'm having all the belts replaced anyway, so I'll post back if that was the problem. |
