I wanted to run this by all of you......or at least those of you who don't already think my widebody 931 is poser-y/riced out

I got a used fiberglass 951 style front bumper cover that is made to fit a normal 944 for a REALLY good deal. Is it too poser-y to put that on my 931, or is it okay. I have cut out the center where the license plate bracket goes for air to get directly to the front mount intercooler and I filled in the side marker lights (so the styling would match the rear of the car), so functionally, it is great. In addition to that, It's not like I'm putting stickers on the car saying it is a 944 turbo, or hiding the 4 front header grills or NACA duct.

Originally, I was going to put on the Carrera GT front bumper cover as it looked to be very functional for the FMIC with the upper center grill removed. The only problem is the Carrera GT front bumper cover is $490+shipping, I got the 951 style bumper with all 6 OEM lights for $200 including shipping.

i always thought they looked nice. looks like a lot of work to put it together but it seems you've got the ability. go for it. i think those fog/driving lights are expensive.

hey- while we're on the subject i'm thinking of using the "turbo" script from a 951 and an "s" from a boxster to badge the rear of the 931. it is technically an s after all. i don't really like the 924turbo decal. i believe they both use double sided tape, so it's not permanent. any thoughts?

hell of a steal on the bumper, I think it is fine going on a wide body turbo car, a NA would be ricey, I even think the S2 944 is ricey as it doesn't have the same feel of a turbo 951, but it has the look....

I have no idea what is going on with the poll, I tried to edit the items, and it doubled them. Now it won't let me edit them at all.

Time out. I don't think the fenders will mate up to the nose. Look closely to the turn on the junction of the nose to the fender. The line is different.

If you make it work then do it. Let see the pics when you are done. Do you think people who own a older 911 and put on a later nose think it is ricer. Or put on flares, 3000 dollar Fiske wheels, spoilers etc.

It makes you happy that is all that matters. Buy the way price out the fog lights and let us know how you feel. Hehehe.

It should look nice though

you might want to get 951 fenders and headlights as they are slightly different from a 944

Then he would also have to replace the badge panel but you are right the lines on the body will not line up w/o them.

ummmm......HELLO!!!!!!! Y'all aint very observent, are ya'?

Take a close look at the picture of the bumper cover in the first post.

The bumper cover is the 944 retrofit style that goes on normal 944 fenders. It is not an exact 951 bumper, it doesn't have the "S" shaped fender mating shape......also, it CAME WITH all the lights, for $200 total, that is why it is such a great deal....the lights alone would cost me in the neighborhood of $600-$700+, but this came with them. They aren't in the picture because I am sanding down the bumper to paint it and it would be stupid to leave the lights in.

I think it would look pretty hot. The rat nose doesn't really bother me much, don't see what the big deal about people not liking it. I don't like the stock valence that much though.
