Hello. I am trying to replicate the naca duct on the turbo hood. Someone got to the hood before i got the car. so I was going to metal form one and graft it on a n/a hood due to the price and availability of the turbo hood. I see it has been discussed before but in rough measurments
I was hoping somone had or could take some pictures with a ruler or square around the duct. I need to know how far from the edges of the hood, depth at a few points. A direct overhead shot of the complete hood with a ruler in frame would be most helpfull so I can use a projector on my hood to trace it out. I would like it to look as origional as much as I am able to.

Why not do a GT scoop instead?

Mostly because thats not what the car came with. I did considered it but if I did the gt scoop I would need the whole gt kit otherwise it looks out of place in my opinion. Not that I wouldent love a gt kit but that's considerably more investment

I could probably 3d scan the scoop, and you could take out any measurements you want on the scoop itself. Should be fairly easy to place with some measurements

Yeah!! that would be super helpfull. Might even be able to print a mold that way

Gave it a quick shot, my old 300$ scanner doesnt love large smooth surfaces and easily looses tracking, so you can see traces of painters tape around the duct. I also put tape along the bonnet line and the bonnet crease to get some kind of alignment. You will also notice the dent inside the duct, which happened with my old struts banged up from the inside, apparently they had to little clearence :/
