Hello,
I am looking for the schematic of the ignition module.
I searched the internet already, but so far not successful.
Who can help?
Thank you.

I only know of one guy from this board that tried to fix and draw the 924 turbo ignition box, but i think he never finished it.
For the NA i dont remember seeing anyone doing it.
If you have trouble with the ignition, i can offer you a complete replacement system that looks very close to the original and keeps the engine bay looking very close to the original, while providing the car with modern technology.
There are now quite a few cars running my kit in Germany, they have TUV and H plate, even with this system installed. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Thank you very much for your answer and the offer. Interesting!
I figured that here or anywhere nobody really published a schematic.
Yes substitution is ok, but I am an engineer and I am trying hard to repair that piece.
I did not find your ignition boxin your homepage. Please help.
Regards and good luck Siegfried _________________ SiegfriedS

Thank you.
I dont want to rebuild everything from scratch. I went thru the tidious job and rebuilt all components of my old Kjet.
The ignition box should be an easy task at last ….even without a schematic .
I do not surrender, 😄not yet _________________ SiegfriedS

I've never found any good source for such schematics, and it may be the kind of thing Bosch and such companies kept to themselves. VW and Porsche (and other manufacturers) never publish that kind of thing because the expectation is always that the module will just be replaced. It could be out there, but it's the kind of thing I've learned to dig a bit on, but move on if I don't find it after a half hour or so of searching. The schematic would definitely help, but you can identify the simple electrical components individually, and there's a decent chance one or more of those is the problem. I was able to fix a speedometer head in my Mercedes that had an electrolytic capacitor fail (those are the culprit more often than not), which also took out a resistor. Sometimes the problem will show up visually; usually you can test the individual components, but that often requires removal anyway. So some people just replace everything. Finally, the integrated circuit may have failed too, in which case another module is your only choice. Luckily, mine's just worked, so I haven't touched it. There seems to be a reasonable supply of working used ones, so most people just try another if theirs goes - but it's always cool when you can fix something instead of just getting another. _________________ 1980 931 diamond in the rough |

If you mean the box on the front fender of the S1 931 there should be at least one who knows the details . Silvio AKA Motanul here had a guy make a newly diy made plug in replacement that I had a look at last weekend, maybe he can add some details ? _________________ 1980 924 Turbo
