Hello everyone, it has been a while since I last posted here on the site. The 924 has been running great, and getting lots of excercise lately. Which brings me to my question. As I have the ATS 4 lug phone dial rims, that really look good on the car, I want to try and optimize the braking with the disc/drums. Going through my parts collection I came across 2 944 turbo brake master cylinders. Are these compatible with my 1976 car? Has anyone upgraded their brake masters to this without going full 944 turbo brakes?
Thanks. _________________ Cheers;

I wouldn't call it an upgrade even if it was possible. All would notice is slightly less pedal travel and needing to push slightly harder on the pedal. Pressure = force / area so for the same pressure in the brake lines if you increase MC area then force applied by pedal needs to increase too.
The real upgrade is in pad compounds and in theory you could get drum shoes relined with better compounds as well. |
