Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum as i just purchased my Gold 924s yesterday. The car is in very good condition and drives well. Only issue is fuming inside the car. I know that there were some old discussions on this forum. The car has a new exhaust system, but I feel that the tail pipe was cut to short and sits to far under the car causing fumes to pick up make their way into the cabin. Any assistance and solutions would be great. Thanks everyone. _________________ PAULN007 |

Check the condition of the hatch seal and the adjustment of the hatch latches. |

Do a search on this board for this topic, i managed to solve it by placing the exhaust pipe right at the corner, you can find pictures of my cars around and on my website as well.

Check the seal around your tail lights too. _________________ 1979 924 NA - AKA the Mid-life Crisis

In addition to the above, check for leaking seals in the spare tire well, there's a few drainage plugs there that could be disturbed and allow the fumes in... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Thank you - wow that looks really cool with the pipe going to the side... I'll talk to my exhaust guy see if he can create this for me. They checked the exhaust and there are no leaks in the system anywhere.
I also think perhaps it is running too rich.. that could be the issue _________________ PAULN007 |
