My 21 year old daughter bought her first car and its a 1983 Guards red 924.
Its a nice car, but doesnt run. We are trying to get it to start, but it just keeps cranking and nearly fires, but then doesnt.
She has faith in her Dad, but i am running out of ideas. Can anyone help?
We are based in the Uk. It would make her day to see this running and drive the thing!! _________________ Edd China made it look easy. A damp rag over it, it will be fine...... |

You need a bit of knowhow about the injection and ignition to diagnose the problem.
That can be done, you can likely get it to start, but that doesnt mean it will also drive...or restart once warmed up.
You can get the systems rebuilt, but you have to look for the shops that are truly capable to do so.
Alternatively, you can install my EFI kit, which keeps things looking original but integrates modern technology to bring back the reliability and even performance.
Have a look at my website and let me know (via email) if you're interested. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Hello all,
I sold my '87 911 back in June and recently purchased the Martini car restored by BTR a few years ago. I've messed with 924's a little as a friend of mine is the original owner of a 76+1/2 and I've helped him on some easy stuff.
I'm in the Chicago/Milwaukee area. Hopefully everyone hasn't migrated over to facebook as I'm not on there since I have limited experience with 924's.
Like you can see in my signature, I also have a '56 Healey 100 which I am almost finished restoring plus a turbodiesel Benz, not mentioned I also have a late model Triumph Speed Triple motorbike.
Later,

Hey Wally, welcome to the board.
You're going to love the 924. That Martini one in particular is a VERY nice one. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits
