I’m sure he enjoys experimenting on them just as much as driving them.
But yeah, a good year to start enjoying driving the 924, who knows what the future brings. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Will be nice for a change! Morghen you hit the nail on the head I really do enjoy the journey. My wife asks me this question all the time. "Don't you want to drive one?"
This one though will drive very soon and then hopefully the CS soon after with whatever engine for this summer. I've even picked two other heads. One to just drop on and another to do a quick port with 40mm Ferrea Valves. This all depends on time and this year I want to drive _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

I apologize! I don't even have room to speak as both my 924 and 931 are out of commission at the moment (though I hope to drive the 931 today after a starter swap) and I only piloted the 924SC a handful of times last year.
I mean this mostly in jest, as to say he has many of them and should reserve at least one to take on a regional cruise. We are not far from each other and there are a few other 924 owners within similar distance as well.
If only I could take my own advice! _________________ 1980 Porsche 931

I did get to drive Eddie that day. There was a hint of race gas in the tank. Oh that smell. Eddie needs some TLC with a few things. Suspension and maybe removal of the solid engine mounts but still nice to turn the wheel of a 924. If I had an S I would raise the compression and tune like Eddie. Its the right amount of NA fun. There is a little intake whistle though which makes you think something is there
Update: Sway bar mounts primed and painted. Carrier is under the car ready to be installed which should happen today _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

Rear carrier is back up in the car. Just working on the hardware
Then re-grease rear bearings, move to brakes, and onward! _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

In response to is Dan ok thread, here is an update. Car still on the lift...see why I didn't post? Embarrassing yes
Rebuilding rear wheel bearings and then realizing should have gone through the CV as well. That is all happening now...really, its actually happening
One side rebuilt, one side around half way through. Hopefully down on wheels soon.
Printed one of my early 928 (80 931) style knobs but this one fits straight on the stock shifter, not like my first one that was for the Ideola short shifter in the CS. Drops a few grams off this car
Also have been auditioning different heat exchangers for the intercooler. Have the tanks cut apart on both sides of one I've been hoping to use. Trying to make it fit down low in front of radiator. Ahh but this means more lift time
Really want it to roll once again to test all the mods. Rebuilt turbo with billet 2660 compressor wheel and aluminum torque tube. Also slowly working on other interior clean up etc. _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

there was this mod too. Phone pic did something weird to the shape. I was probably moving with no flash. Saved a little bit of mass
