|
|
Hey y'all, first post here. Recently picked up an '87 924S and need to do some work on it. Never worked on cars before but have been doing a lot of research. The Hayne's Manuals seem to be a good resource but they only have one for the 944. Will this manual apply to a 924S? Pinched on cash and don't want to waste it on something that may be useless to me. _________________ ______________

The 924S is a 944 engine, trans, running gear, etc. in a left over 924 body. Your manual will help with all the mechanical parts. Enjoy. _________________ 1979 924 NA race car H-Prod SCCA

Someone gave me a copy of the Haynes 944 manual after they sold their 944. I don't need it, I don't have a 944 or 924S.
Do you need a copy? Send me a couple of bucks for postage and I'll mail it to you. Well, would need your address too.
It's this one:

(checks bookshelf....here it is)

With the 924S it is a bit of an odd ball even with factory service manuals. All the mechanical bits are 944 so you would need the corresponding Haynes or FSM for those, the body is 924 and you would need the corresponding books for those. FSMs for both are available but expensive for complete sets unless you know where to find PDFs. My car had a 944 Haynes that came with it and I ordered a 924 (which are getting harder to find).
The above link will supply a good online source for some info as well |
