Yeah, they do that; I was shocked when mine did the same!
My EFI 931 is now so reliable my wife loves to drive it without me!!! Fun to drive, easy to start, drives reminiscent of (though obviously not the same as) her 924 NA racecar... only reliable and always starts and runs perfectly! LOL _________________ Vaughan Scott

Mine's a champ on cold starts - I'm really not sure how or even if it could be improved on. Hot starts are another story: in the half hour to an hour window, it can take up to thirty seconds of cranking. I've heard it's from fuel vaporizing in the injector lines, and I'm tempted to try wiring the cold start injector to a momentary switch on the dash, like others here have. Anyway, hold on to the FD and WUR from that 931 - could just be you've got one of the good ones! _________________ 1980 931 diamond in the rough |

The first EFI kit installation is done, meaning the car started and drives.
This is a 76 car, quite a bit different from the one i developed the kit on so there were some hickups here and there, but i have learned a lot from that.
My 931 EFI installation is also complete, and that one went smoothly as it is a late car.
Anyway, below is the EFI kit on a table, thanks to Frank for providing the picture.

Great job on the video Morghen. I really appreciate your attention to the details and the effort to complete this conversion kit in a way that can benefit so many of us. |

Slowly moving forward with the 931 version. By that i mean getting this car into a drivable condition so i can refine the maps and settings.
I’ve started with the supercharged maps obviously, and began making some adaptations needed for the 931.
Had a short drive today to check some of my repairs and work on the car and was happy to find that the turbo is alive and sounding well.

Still at it, this car needed and still needs a lot of work to be safe and reliable for the road.

k-jet served us well for many years. Technologically it is obsolete and incapable compared to what we now have access to...nevertheless, for what it was, it was an amazing system.
Would i go back to it? no, never, but i do respect it and it did keep me in the 924 scene for many years. The EFI kit is heavily inspired and influenced by the k-jet, one of the main goals was to replace as few parts as possible and to make it look as similar to k-jet as possible.
Have a look on my website, i've also listed my email there, drop me an email and i'll put you on the build lists.
Availbility of the kit isnt great right now as demand is higher that what i can put together, but i'm working to improve that.
Nevertheless, if k-jet is dying and more of us will have trouble with it, we now have a recipe we can simply order based on drawings, CAD data and a list of components. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Leigh (Kenodog) has been to my house a couple of times and we are close friends, i promised and owe him at least one visit since years now.
I'll have to keep my promise somehow..
Trying to to get into more promises but i would like to do a tour at one point, visiting people from the community.
I've restarted working on the 931 and plan to drive it some more this weekend and improve the tune as well as the car. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits
