Hi to all , I am looking for a fuel tank cap , the part number is 477201551
I lost mine and I am in big problem . If anyone have I appreciate thanks a lot

You can use the cap from the later 924 just doesn't look the same but gets you out of trouble.

thanks a lot , the problem is that is red and very different , i tried a vw golf 1 but it didnt fit .

I believe they're the same as several late-70s VWs and available from aftermarket suppliers. Motorad or Stant part 46132 are what I'm coming up with. It looks like in the US at least, the cap changed around 1980 - maybe that's when the evaporative emissions system came in? Anyway, no need to track down the OE Porsche cap: I'd see if that Stant part number means anything to your local parts store, or order one online.

i tried the 171201551b from VW Golf and Scirroco but it doesnt fit .. i have found also from Carid in the us but it is very expensive to came to Greece with shipping cost and customs .

There are aftermarket ones available in black (they are the same as some VW's) some wouldn't look out of place on an early car
