How do you remove the rear backrest push button and cover on 924S? Need to remove them for new upholstery.

The button, if I remember correctly, just turns and unscrews. There's a spring below it.

Once removed, try to prise the cover off from the hole where the button sat ( if this makes sense ). You'll see what I mean.

Just went thru this…
The cone shaped housing/ liner is below the knob & rubber spacer
The housing has small tabs which keeps it in place and cannot be just pulled out…must compress the tabs and can only get access by removing the metal plate (4 small bolts under the glued fiber pad ) then pry back enough to get at the bottom tabs , squeeze with needle nose and push hard ….eventually will push thru . Insert new , requiring even pressure .
Reassemble
