Guys
Are there differences between 81 & 87 dashes ?
If so what are the differences

I have an '81 924 and bought a newer 944 dash (unfortunately don't know the exact MY)

Fitment wise it's a straight swap, no issues.
The grain of the cover is however different, causes a bit of a mismatch with the glove compartment and door panels, so that's something to look out for. I once read that over the years about 3 different types of covers/grains were used.

My 81 dash is trash , also want to change the interior to black from the brown tone, so will need to exchange many components.
