Looking to replace the non-sunroof part of my 924S headliner. After doing a semi deep dive into the topic I have read everything from it is a relatively easy two hour job, to pictures of cars with the whole interior out including rear windows to do the job. I am trying to decide whether to try it myself or farm it out. Cost to farm it out from anyone that has done it recently appreciated too.

Its not difficult to put it on, its difficult to put it on without wrinkles.
You need some clamps to hold it stretched, some good automotive interior glue, a good headliner and a friend to help.

I have a targa and did it myself. Took me 2 evenings (bout 6 to 8 hours in total)

Biggest issue for me was that the car came without a headliner. So I had no template to cut the headliner from and had to wing it as I went along. That took quite a bit of time because I didn't want to cut things too small, as that means starting all over again. Luckily I succeeded in one go, and no wrinkles.
Rear windows have to come out. Door and hatch seals need to be partially removed as well.
I bought a bit of generic edge trim and used that to temporarily clamp the liner in place on all edges. Worked perfect, better than clamps. (this stuff: https://image.made-in-china.com/202f0j00zwAtTbSgYEuk/High-Quality-Guard-Protector-Car-Door-Edge-Trim-PVC-Seal-Strip-with-Steel-Trim.jpg)

I would say it's an OK job to do, 3/5 in terms of difficulty (5 being the most difficult).

Thanks, rear windows out sounds major, but I will look into it further.

Rear windows out sounds more impressive than it is. I was a bit afraid myself, until I tried. It's piss easy. Literally a 10 minute job to take both out and another 10 mins to put them back, coffee breaks included.

Plenty of topics on this board on how to do it, but you can basically push them out.
