anyone done this?? its pathetically weak.
I have removed my A/C blower and need more airflow from the outside air blower.
I have set my venting up so i can get air from the center vents all the time. _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |

I think someone posted in one of the FB groups about changing the brushes with a more recent one.
I have the old semi-functional blower motor from my minivan kicking around, it's on the to-do list to see if I can swap it in without dash removal... but it's a very low priority, I have two racecars to un-#### and still need to re-ring the motor on the Turbo first, this summer. Oh, yeah, plus Indy for the Runoffs... _________________ Vaughan Scott

The entire case of the HVAC unit (which the dash is built around) comes apart in two halves to remove it. So no, not without cutting it out of the plastic.
Normal service is remove dash, remove HVAC unit (with or without heater core), and then pop off all the clips holding the two halves together. Lots of fun... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Years ago I adapted I believe a VW Rabbit squirrel cage motor into the housing for the existing window fan style vertical motor(non-AC) and did a "How to" on it. It got really clugy and ugly as it is quite difficult to modify the old plastic housing for the squirrel cage motor. Once I got into it it was one of those I have to do something and it got worse from there. There should be a "how to" on adapting an early 944 blower into a 924 also, but as I recall it got pretty ugly also. _________________ Mike
