Anybody know what size and shape the bolts holding the CV joints are? I have a set of the "triple square" drivers and the M8 seems to fit well but now I'm unsure if this is the correct size. Stripping one of those will open up a whole world of problems that I would rather not get into. _________________ 1981 924 N/A (Now the parts car)

The triple square bolts are a standard 8x1.25x50 bolt. For some reason they are a gr 8.8 which when torqued supposedly stretch(it is actually at about 80% of the yield point). I use standard grade 12.9 socket heads with Nord Lock washers and are reusable. The torque on with the Nord Lock is actually less than with the 8.8 triple square. Nord locks are commonly used on aircraft propellers, so not a threat to work loose. _________________ Mike
