Took my 924 Turbo/GT Special out for a shakedown run @ Lakeside. Went really well! It's been at least 10 years since I've driven a 924 in anger and all the good memories came flooding back.

It really is such a well balanced chassis and with the full cage it feeds back to the driver amazingly.

I was waving the traffic through on the straight as I still have a few leaks and small issues to sort out but very happy with the car, it has plenty to give.

Thanks! Setup is still a bit of an unknown quantity, haven't even set the brake bias up. The ride height is stock and it has a set of 20mm spacers for the 250 series tyres.

Front has ground control coilovers and camber plates that read 0 but there is about 5 degrees of negative camber on each wheel so that is a bit of a mystery.

No sway/antiroll solution as yet but I'll address that once the car has seen a bit more track time.

Car looks great!

Is it just me, or does the camber actually look wonky in those photos? Front looks like not enough (barely even looks like it has 2 deg), and rear looks positive?

Also looks like it could benefit from more front track - spacers, and/or wider wheels.

I think you are correct! Will add a few more degrees before next outing. Also noticed the front wheels are on the wrong side (direction arrow round the wrong way)

They are 7" rims on the front, I have some spare spacers but I was worried about running two sets of spacers, this is bad mojo correct?

Great day out on Saturday at Lakeside for round 2 of timeattack. Fettled around a little the week before and made some sliding window panels inspired by @Vanne - cut on the homebrew CNC. Nothing better than enslaving robots to make parts for you:

Car ran awesome in mid 20s celcius conditions. Thanks for the feedback @924RACR - I chucked -2 degrees camber on the fronts and swapped them so they were on the correct sides (lol) and took my lap time down from 1:24 to 1:13.522 over 39 laps. Couldn't be happier with the day.

Great to see you out there on the track, and with some great improvements. They respond well to negative camber, ive settled around -3 degrees up front which seems to work best for me on our tracks, cant get any more out of the std adjusters though.

When you get up to full speed with even more track time a set of 8"wheels up front would take the front end to the next level
