Just did the brass contact cleaning trick as described by Joe in original post. Washer pump now buzzes but no water squirting onto windshield. Is there a plumbing diagram? Why does pump appear to partially pump back into reservoir? Thought the contact cleaning would also fix my intermittent wiper, but no!

OK, re-plumbed the washer hose so it now washes the windshield, but it is not as original, and the original defies my logic. Original with two hoses into the washer bottle is a stock photo off the internet. The lower photo one hose mod is mine. Hopefully one of you can explain. On the intermittent wiper, I'm waiting for the arrival of a new intermittent wiper relay to see if that will correct.

Is there a particular reason that the photo bucket images are blurred? I do hope that this is not a really stupid question????
