The 1980 hood has a kick stand assembly that really leaves much to desire. When the hood is propped up it definitely sags to the passenger side.

Is there a hood strut kit? Did the later models come with hood struts (Google search for Hood Strut 924 does yield results)? I searched the forums for "hood strut kit" and wasn't able to yield anything.

I got this for my MK1 Rabbit, works great

not clear where the ball connector would be mounted verse the integrated strut mount goes.

I like the look of those last ones you posted but I have never seen a stud mount for a hood support in a 924. Not sure how they can be OEM quality when there is no OEM part.
