My '81 was hit on track in the door and I was unable to get the door back to original condition...even with removing the door bars. I purchased a new door and called it a day. Extremely easy. Any early 944 door will fit...to include the mirror and mirror and door harness. They are pretty easy to find.

Cheers.

Hey guys,

I have a 1988 924S SE that needs a door replaced. I found a door from a 1979 924 for sale. However, everything I see on-line says this will only fit 924 models up to 1982.

This thread seems to concentrate on the brace as a problem but are there other issues? I will be swapping over my old manual windows, so i dont think the brace will be a probem.
Thanks

That door won't fit, because the door hinges are different. Also a '79 door won't fint a later 924.
