The previous owner of my car spilled a bunch of motor oil in the back, anyways, I'd like to get a new carpet in the hatch area, does anyone know where I can get one? I just need the part that covers the spare tire.

Thanks.

it might be possible to clean it , I've used GOOP( hand cleaner) to get black motor oil stains out of clothes . it worked great . worked the GOOP into the stains, let soak over night , then washed them at the laundry mat . didnt wanna risk screwing up my washer .

Try here:
http://9xauto.com/944.html

Scroll down to "Carpet and Upholtery sets". Then scroll down that page and they sell pieces for the back separate. Here they are:

"Sun damaged just the rear cargo area? This carpet offers an alternative to carpeting the entire car."

CARPET, TRUNK 1976-on Coupe with full-size spare tire; cut and bound #924 7914 Domestic (Add to Cart) $148.00
CARPET, TRUNK 1976-on Coupe with full-size spare tire; cut and bound #924 7914 Imported (Add to Cart) $306.00
CARPET, TRUNK 1976-on Coupe with "mini" spare tire; cut & bound #924 7917 Domestic (Add to Cart) $141.00
CARPET, TRUNK 1976-on Coupe with "mini" spare tire; cut & bound #924 7917 Imported (Add to Cart) $273.00

Note that they say nothing about color so you may have to contact them, unless I missed it.

If you want a new one:

Contact eBay seller partwerks9@aol.com (hope I spelled it right). He sells these carpet kits on eBay and may be able to help you.

Otherwise, cargo area carpets come up on eBay from time to time but the condition is always in question.

The greyish green is the result of black carpet sitting in the sun for twenty years. The brown stuff fades to blue.

You can buy my 25 year old carpet that went green and now is a pale tan.
But only in spots, so you can have a rear carpet that you cannot spot if you are in the woods.

It has only one bullet hole in it. That was done in 1978 but you can hardly see it.

heh...try cleaning it with a product called super 11. it's impossible to find in any car care store, you need to go to a detailer's supply. they sell it in 1 gallon jugs, and it's neon green. ya spray it on the carpet, let it soak in for like...5 minutes...the ya spray it off with a pressure washer. that's how i clean my carpets. looks really good. O, and to dry, use a wet/dry vac
