One of the best things to do, gauge swap. Speedo needs a bit more tweaking. That can wait, tired from the rastling match to get this far~!

Had difficulty shifting up or down into third. Checked gear oil, bled the clutch slave, no go. So, drained oil, chunks of synchro floated out the drain. Dang. Installed spare 931 transmission good to go. Car is done for now. Ready to haul to Arizona!

Might have to toss the turbo hood, doesn't seem to fit well. Unless I forgo the stock catch setup in front and go with the hood pin setup.

Removed the rear exhaust from the red CGT car, sorry car. And, installed it in the 924S. It's in much better shape, and was able to install the Audi tranny muffler bracket from the CGT car as well. The 944 style setup was a bit fubarred on the muffler, and other than cutting up the muffler heat shield a bit, looks factory!

Had a 10 minute scare though, when the CGT engine blew, the exhaust filled up with coolant, and so, 10 minutes of white smoke out the back!! Argghgghgh, after awhile, no more smoke, whew.

Well, these are toofahs! Today, I'll finish installing the roll cage (again from the CGT car). Have to tighten the oil pan bolts before I hit the track next weekend. These seem to need attention when the gasket is new! Vacuum the car out, clean the glass, and it's ready to go!

Roll cage in, ugh, no more fun this time around since last install! Hot Arizona sun didn't help, beer did though~!

Heading out to Deming, NM to the Arroyo Seco Racetrack. Been there quite a few times with both the 911 and Spike. This time around, the PCA Carrera Region is hosting a DE there, my 3rd, called Oktoberfiesta! The ugly blue car is 'ready' to go, not much road-testing on it. Starts, idles, revs, shuts off; good to go.

The easy to apply blue tape numbers!

Punched out the liner on the sunroof for more helmet room; nice visual touch~!

The red car is sitting in the woods waiting for it's trip back to Wisconsin. Yes, it's getting another engine.

Decided the faded orange sunroof had to go. So, on this warm and sunny Arizona winter day, took to it. Used four cans of 'hammered' spray paint, think metal lawn furniture, and probably could use a couple more. Did the roof, hood, and nose, from a pic I saw of someone else doing the same. Happy with the results, rest of car now looks like crap. Oh well.

Looks good, now you need to buy clear coat from the same company; spray, wet sand and buff
You will be surprise by the result

I probably won't! I have a lead on an early 944 sunroof delete for cheap. This 924S body is crap, rear-end hit, driver floor is cracked near rear seat mount, all four corners have dents. One more track event this weekend, and it's decision time~!
