|
|
So here are a hopefully a bunch of pictures. I am trying to figure out where some of these lines go. Especially wondering about the two two connector bits in the first picture. Then if some one could tell me what each of those four should be connected to I could probably figure out the rest. Its a Cali car by the way.
Thanks a ton. Hoping to install this line tomorrow.

Can you downsize those pics, hard to put perspective on them. yo _________________ '83 944 Track car.

What is the year and model of your images?
Most of these lines can be deduced from an image search
for "Porsche 924 vacuum lines" but many vacuum lines
differ by model and year.
Your images show many vacuum lines and vacuum line
termini. Can you indicate which of these in the images
you want identified by placing some kind of markings? |

It's a '79 sebring edition california car. In the first image, there are two junctions(?) that each have two inlet(outlet?). I would like to figure out where these go. Every diagram and piece of information i've found online only shows one of those junctions. I'm assuming mine has two being from california and all.
At the very least could someone tell me what needs to be hooked up to what for the car to start? I know it will probably run rough and definitely not pass smog until i've connected them properly, but for now i just need it to start. |

Numbering your pictures from the Skydrive Link from left to right labelled as 1 to 9 ...
Image 1: The thermocouple or temperature switches
The one on the left with blue junctions connects the slanted blue
connector to the Vacuum (ERG) Amplifier and the vertical blue connector
goes to the ERG Valve.
The one the right connects one lint to the Vacuum Tank or Reservoir and
the other to the Airguide Valve.
Image 2: The Diverter Valve (CA only)
Top juncture leads to the #1 junction of the two-way valve for air
injection.
Image 3: ERG Valve in upper right corner.
Goes to temperature valve for ERG
Image 4: Distributor Retard (looks like the Advance is connected with
yellow line)
Retard Juncture goes to Throttle Housing.
Image 5: Vacuum Amplifier.
Juncture goes to line going to Vacuum Tank in right wheel housing.
Image 6 and 7: Disconnected Vacuum Line
Line connects to juncture one inch above end at bottom of Deceleration
Valve (Manual Transmission only)
Image 8: Line origin not clear from image -- if this line is coming off the
ERG valve then it would connect to the Temperature Valve which in turn
whose other vacuum line terminates at the Vacuum Amplifier.
Image 9: Intake Distributor
Left line goes to Vacuum Amplifier.
Right line goes to Distributor Retard Connection
This image should help for most of the connections:
Some vacuum line modifications are giver at AB Racing
