FYI - I'm not sure if anyone has already mentioned this, but the stock springs used on the 90-93 Ducati 900ss bikes are 2.5" ID x 7.125" and rated at 500lbs. They fit my front coil-overs perfect.
I know that is way heavy for most applications, but just wanted to put it out there as a potentially cheap source. Most Duc owners dumped those as they were seriously over-sprung (420lb bike). If you keep your eyes open these can be had for a beer or less.

Yeah, the 325lb springs on my "lightweight" is a bit too much. A fully loaded porker and/or a full-on race car might make use of those.

I know the Lotus 7 clone builders have found the sport bike shocks as a cheap way to get ready-made performance shocks for their custom built cars. The Kitcar and Hotrod folks aren't much farther behind them.

So to hijack my own thread... CPV are you heading to the June meet in Portland? I was was thinking of routing through Bend then some of the forest service roads to Portland. It would be good to have someone to draft.

Definitely a possibility I'm not sure what kind of stuff is happening in June just yet so most of my summer is quite unclear. As the weather warms up I'm at the mountain more than anything else. But I'd love to go to the historics (I think that's what you're referring to).

Yes. The Portland historics. Was a fun show last year but didn't get much socializing done.
