I have a 12" blaupunkt in a truck box the liner covers it and it is screwed down so if they want it the have to unscrew the sub the unscrew the box as it is held down very well

I was thinking of building an enclosure with tabs to fit in the pockets by the wheel wells...

I have 4 8" Paradigm subs, and they sound so nice and tight! I just can't wait to get a pair of them in a sealed box, and throw it in the back!

Good idea Lizard, with the way I drive, they had better be screwed down!

That's funny, you haven't heard these subs

I'm more interested in a crisper response, thats why I have 8" subs, and I'm working on the sealed enclosure...

I have 12s hooked up to my computer, and the 8s are out in my livingroom... with the 12s full powered and beginning to destort, the 8s can still drown them out.

I don't doubt it Lizard, Blaupunkt makes awesome subs... I already have the 8s though, so that's what I'm sticking with.

The funny thing is, my 6x9s will be higher capacity than the subs!

I really want to go with Blaupunkts overdrive speakers and then amplify them but I haven't found a sub that puts out enough watts for running 4 speakers each on a seperat channel I will probably need 2 amps the other reason the 12" is so clean is because it has DVC or Dual Voice Coil so it pushes and pulls

Ah, nice sub. Try http://www.partsexpress.com

They often have really good deals going, and their sub prices are just unbeatable. I'm ordering a set of 12" woofers to replace my computer speakers, which my brother blew the other day

ok the other thing that will make a sub destort at high vlumes is too much air space with 2 12" subs (blaupunkt of cours ) there is the perfect amount of space in this car and the subs wont distort no mattery how high you crank them but you have to have a clean sound going into the amp or amps and you also have to have a amp that doesn't add distortion
