it doesn't quite work that way . You need an efi ecu that you can program to suit the fuel ( and possibly spark) requirements of the the 924 .
MeGasquirt ecu, 4 injector inserts, crank sensor, 4 efi injectors, wiring harness, fuel rail.. Fuel pressure regulator ...fuel lines...etc that's just for fueling

I've seen people use ford fuel injector on big block mopars so I don't see any reason why it would not work on a 924. I'm sure its doable

Eletronic fuel injection (EFI) is different to "Fuel injectors" or "Fuel rail" ...
EFi= The whole system
Fuel Injector= output controlled by the system

You need an "ECU" to control your fuel injectors ... You also need to have some way of adjusting/changing/programming your ECU to suit your engine... A Ford/holden engine requires different fuel/spark curves then a 924 engine it also uses different electronic sensors....which if transferred may or may not have to be calibrated/fit to suit a 924 engine... Perhaps theres a user available program or way that can be used to program a holden/ford ecu but ide find it easier and cheaper to get a $200 megasquirt...imho

I'm well aware that EFI means a whole system. One Mopar big block that I was refering to used the computer and ignition system from a 5.0 mustang with larger injectors. The computer was reflashed to work with the big mopar and I don't think it cost him all that much around $500 if I remember correctly. On top of that it instantly makes getting part super easy. Every car parts store on earth carries stuff for say a 2.3 Ford which would be the best prospect for such a conversion on a 924.

Edit:said big block mopar was a 496 cube wedge engine in a 69 charge that was one of hot rod magazines top 10 about 3 years ago.

Ok cool i thought you just said "Fuel injector" as opposed to EFI

A constructed and tested megasquirt costs $250-$300 plus also gives you the option of Continual adjustment as you change other aspects /upgrades to your car.

The available parts argument is invalid because a system such as megasquirt can use sensors off most cars , not just Ford

If the sensor doesnt work they can be callibrated in megasquirt in minutes or bought for cheap...
Ford edis + crank sensor + trigger wheel= Off alot of wrecker fords
Iat sensor and CTS = $15 each (brand new from DIY) (or cheaper off other wrecker cars)

Why go to the hassle/cost of flashing/reprogramming a ford ecu when for less you can get a completely new and tested "USER PROGRAMMABLE" ECU

As for it being the best prospect for a 924 ide argue this strongly but cant be bothered coz im hungry and need to get some food but
Im sure Min and others would disagree also

I did say injector but that's because I'm not very good at typing on my phone and didn't proff read. Mega squirt maybe the best choice but if someone is familiar with the Ford system they might want to go that route if they already know it. I was just saying it was possible.

It just comes down the "reflashing" part. Can you make the adjustments you need so the Ford ECU calculates the correct fuelling for a 4cyl on MAP and TPS only? If yes then go for it!

Chances are that there will be a few cubic meters of pissing around to do to get a factory ECU doing what needs to be done to run a different motor. A programmable ECU like Megasquirt or Haltech/Microtech/Wolf/Lego Mindstorms are made to do these things out of the box.

Hell I have a Haltech E6S that you can have for cheap.

I certain do disagree also, but decided against making a post about it.

Owenexile: no matter what path you choose, expect to spend alot of time learning. While converting a car to EFI isn't very difficult, understanding how to make it run correctly can be quite time consuming.

you're gonna have to learn Greek then:p if it was me ( and I didn't have turbo) IDE just do fuel and no spark using megasquirt

if you want to do this, first read www.megamanual.com.

When you understand everything there, go buy stuff.
