9/24 is Friday next week.

9/24 should be, if all goes according to plan, the day for the racetrack debut of my new racecar, the D Sports Racer (first test day).

We'll follow up with the weekend, Race 6, the final of the season at Waterford Hills. Chris Marsh will be looking to clinch his second ITB Championship on Saturday; Merritt will be looking to see how much of an improvement she can make with some cooler weather to play in.

PUB Racing's rookie driver, Mo Makki, will be returning to finish off the season in his IT7 Mazda RX7 and earn his full race license.

With 4 cars, we'll be running pretty thin; we'll also be running back-to-back in two race groups, 5 and 6, with the ITB cars and the DSR, meaning I won't even get a chance to watch Marsh take his Championship on Saturday! This should be very exciting...

Got this far...

But not quite far enough... broke the motor in night testing. Repairable, but that's why we test...

Chris Marsh clinched his second ITB championship yesterday with a solid second place, and Merritt continued to improve, pushing her tires to their limit and getting a string of 1:23's during qualifying! Her race didn't turn out as well, unfortunately; she got hung out to dry while faster traffic was coming through from the back, and a number of cars she outqualified got past and hurt her pace.

More fun today, though, and she's loving the cooler temps as much as her motor is!

Mo in the RX7 also had a great day, again going faster and looking very racy till a loss of control in braking, late in the race, sent him into the Turn 1 kitty litter with a couple laps to go. However, this was after an impressive recovery in the grass that kept him off the concrete wall, and he still picks up credit for the win. His car is also in good shape, and will also be headed back out for more fun today...
