Just ran Shags through Oregon DEQ. I have read some concerns about modified cams and their effects on emissions, so here are my results, from this morning, and from 2008:

HC: 39 PPM, down from 66 PPM (220 allowed)
CO: 0.0000%, down from .0114% (1% allowed)
CO+CO2: 14.3%, up from 13.4% (6% minimum required)

Not bad, eh? Probably helped to rid the system of busted rings, blown valve seals, and the factory WUR as well. . .

You hippie..

Nothings better than dumping a bunch of gas out the tailpipe and blowing flames on the 931.. I'll stick to hill-billy country where I don't have emissions, but good numbers.

It's an idle test only. . .I can cover this "aspect" as well.

i've been to the bi-anual test last summer and the 932 engine pulled EURO4 emission specs...that is quite impressive since last summer the newest and "best" cars could do EURO5.

Knock on wood that we never have to do that here. Too many farmer's and their field trucks to run this state.

30 MPG on a 30+ year old technology base is awesome. How much of that comes from the electronic WUR? I haven't really paid much attention to mine since I think I've filled up maybe 3 times this year and pretty much rape it every time I drive it...

Cedric, I was cruising at 75-85 most of the time.

How did it do that well? Combination of fully refreshed fuel system (rebuilt dizzy, fresh injector service, new lines, new FV, UTCIS), fresh motor, and of course the lambda system, which operated perfectly to maintain stoich at cruise.

I guess what I was asking was: How much of an improvement over stock is 30MPG? I don't know what stock setup can get on open road cruise because I've never done it.
