Joe you don't need a large I/C if you have a large heat exchanger. Look at getting a rad from a Geo Metro, early model Honda Civic or something similar. These are small, usually will only cover half of your 931 rad so you will still have plenty of cooling for the engine but will get nothing but cold water through the I/C no matter how hard you push it.
I was using the smallest core that Spearco makes, the B-252, and it worked fine because I had such a large exchanger constantly supplying cold water.
Just my 2 cents

That means getting a air-water intercooler with heat exchanger.
What circulates the water or does it need to circulated.
I know this setup needs a fan. Heres apic of a pump.
this would be prety cool Ilike that.

By the way Thanks Kenodog & all others your help is
much appreciated.

what ive read about air water intercoolers: The construction
methods of some. Seems if the water passageways are the same
size as the air passageways. Its inefficiant and leads to poor
performance. I bet alot of the cheaper ones are built that way.

cooler.

Correct. If you want an efficient, trouble free system it will cost you money. I bought a new Jabsco Centri-Puppy 12v pump ($130ish),Spearco I/C ($150ish) and for a heat exchanger I used a new A/C heat exchanger that I had from a parts lot I bought on fleabay. After having a buddy make up the aluminum piping and then buying silicone couplers and a series 2 t/b,relocated the battery and bought all of the fuses, switches and water plumbing etc I was into it all for about $800. But for that $ I bolted on a safe, reliable 50 bhp @ 12 psi.
Cheap fun in a 931.

So the splines wont meet up from the 931 bellhousing to the 79
non-turbo torque tube or will they.or will they.
As far as trannys go between the 2.
The 79 924 has a 5 spd snailshell and the 90 931 has
a 5 spd as far as i know.
My other question is. Will the 931 torque tube match up
to the 79 5 spd snail shell. If so then wont have to switch out the
rear tranny carriers. I dont want to.
I was under the impression that the 79
924 carrier wont carry the 80 931 tranny. Is this right or wrong.
Thats the only big part of the job I see.

The outer tube is the same between both. The shaft is different. I have both. The difference in the front transaxle housing is the shaft hole size. The casting is the same one.[/url]
