If so, how did you go registering it in Oz? Are there any points that need to be addressed before a UK 931 is roadworthy in Oz? Apparently the ADRs (Australian Design Rules) are some of the toughest in the world so I don't want to be up for big $ in mods before I can put the car on the road.
Any advice much appreciated!
cheers

I haven't done it so I can't offer any specific advice. But in my opinion, you shouldn't have too much trouble. To the best of my knowledge, Australian and U.K. 924 Turbos are identical. I cannot see any reason whatsoever why it would need any modification.
I have no doubt you'll need to have it inspected, though. And that's probably where the cost will be because, aside from the very likely exorbitant cost of the inspection itself, I have no doubt they'll demand that all the little niggly things that are usually wrong with a thirty-year-old car are fixed before they'll roadworthy it. Prepare to be stung on that one.
On the upside, I expect if the car is currently roadworthy in the U.K., there's a good chance it'll be OK in Oz. I've heard their inspections are quite thorough.
Good luck with it. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
