Received my Euro bumper and GTS nose last month and got around to getting them mocked up, painted and installed. Still have some decisions to make, euro fog lights and bumper strip to locate and fiberglass alterations to work on. Still need to deal with the rockers and a ton of detail work but the project is still moving forward. Hoping to get the car into a proper paint job late this coming spring.

For a couple of bucks go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy some base board heating panels. Cut to size and weld on. That is what I did and they come out great.
After the weld I sprayed on schuss from Porsche inside and out then
sprayed the entire unit. Mine looks great.
The only differences the rear side markers, lower door valance and the hood scoop.
Porsche Polar Silver paint.
For the street I use mostly 944 rims although I have 7s and 8s Fuchs to use also. polished outside rims.

Thx Vince. I'll look into that.

@Morghen

These rims are only temporary and have the standard 944 tire fitment. Other sizes were quite expensive and I needed something that would get me by until I get the final set of wheels.

Which will be either

Rota Fox 17" fuchs replicas or these

John, car is looking good. Besides Vince's suggestion, what other alternatives have you considered regarding the rockers? I have a similar decision to make on the UWB, haven't gotten that far yet.

As for the euro fog lights, on the UWB, I'm going to convert those spaces to duct openings, probably for the oil cooler (on the RHS) and power steering cooler (on the LHS).

@Dan

I'm considering modifing the 931 rockers and fiberglassing them on. I have a slight concern that welded metal rockers will be rust prone. Fiberglassing plastic rockers on instead would negate that possiblity.

Have you considered the boxed rockers from IFC? They appear to be pretty close, and I think he can make them for the wide body as well...that's the direction I'm currently leaning...

Boxed rockers are not really my cup of tea.

Come to think of it, you could probably use the IFC "dished" rockers...I'm pretty sure they're the same ones that are on the 941. They can either be put "on top" of existing body work, or you can blend them in the way Ray did. Of all the rockers, I like them best, but I don't think they're an option for the wider flares.

{EDIT}
Like these

The front part should be no issue, but you might have to do some work to integrate them to the CGT rear arches...

Sorry for going slightly OT, but Dan do you have other pics of that blue car you can post/email?

Cheers,
G.

No, unfortunately, I don't...it's a beautiful car, eh?! It's linked directly to IFC's website...and he currently doesn't have directory browsing disabled, so you can see all of his images here. I looked, but did not see, any add'l images of the blue car.

Looks great!

I just fell into a 944NA front bumper and fenders, so I will be going down this road pretty soon....

why not just the CGT rocker caps that slide into the original strip. I know one of the fiberglass guys is splashing copies...I think it was Infinite fiberglass.
