What year is it? I was able to fit slightly smaller speakers (3x5? I'll have to check) into my front door panels with no problems, but my car is an '88 924S. _________________ 1988 924S Navy Blue - Phone Dials |

The screw holes in the door should be for a 6x4 speaker.
I managed to get some 6x4 speakers to fit. But due to the mounting depth I had to make a spacer to pull the speaker out a bit more and use longer screws. A bit of wood painted black with a hole cut out for the speaker cone did the trick nicely _________________ 1983 924 NA

Ah yes, that's right. The speakers I installed were full sized, but they were shallow. So if you can acquire some shallow speakers or mock up something like billson described. _________________ 1988 924S Navy Blue - Phone Dials |

Thanks for the replies guys - yep my car is a 1988 UK 924S.
Yeah, they're 4x6 (or 6x4 whatever you want to call it), so I'm sure they'll fit the hole mounting points ok, but it's the rear mounting depth (i.e. behind the panel) I'm not sure about.
Cheers,
Sy |
