|
|
Hello,
She's a 1978 standard UK car. Bonnet release cable snapped as it completely seized (literally overnight which is very annoying). Can anyone tell me if there's another one I can use. Otherwise I'll use some universal cable and bike clips.
Oh, also need a bonnet release pull handle (the one in the passenger foot well). It fell apart as I was a bit rough with it trying to get the bonnet open.
Many thanks. _________________ 1978 924na |

That's great thanks.
I did a search on the net but couldn't find anyone who did them. Think I need to learn to search better!
Have asked ebs to give me a price. _________________ 1978 924na |

To answer your question - YES.
Although my cable ATM is a $6 length of generic inner/outer from a cable shop I picked up a spare VW one cheap on ebay that came with a new plastic (lightweight) handle of similar shape/size.
Part # on the bag is: 321 823 531C, Passat 8/77 -- 7/80
Good chance though one from a dealer is not cheap but IIRC the Porsche one with handle is around $50. |

Cool thanks,
I'm on my way back to the UK for a couple of days this afternoon. There are a few shops I can try that have VW bits armed with the part number. _________________ 1978 924na |
