Any problems if I were to paint the alternator shroud? Would the paint just burn off?

I used high temp engine paint about 7 years ago and it still looks good (some scratches but not burnt at all)

I used that BBQ paint on my brake dusts shields and it worked beautifully. Very quick drying, too. . .I now think I should have used it on my calipers instead of "caliper paint". . .

I used normal auto spray paint (Ford Oyster Gold) on my alt shroud last year. No problems so far...
