If you're running 140mph on public roads in the midwest, then here's a tip: figure it out for yourself. I can't imagine anyone wanting to be a part of that kind of irresponsibility. _________________ 1980 931S

No, people responded with answers to your question, you just didn't like the responses. Just becuase you don't think a motor swap is 'cheap' or 'easy' doesn't mean that those options arn't the 'cheapest' or 'easiest' way of doing it.
Motor swap, unbolt old motor, bolt new motor in, hook up accessories.
Chip, won't make the power you want.
Supercharger, way more money than getting a cheap used motor and swapping it in.
Just becuase the answers don't fit into your misconceptions of what your 'equation" is, doesn't mean you should insult the people trying to help you.
I'm with nick on this one, your on your own buddy.

Sometimes guys want to do more than they can afford. But, if you can do it. The problem is that the cost to do what you want is more than the car is worth. Selling it is another problem.
Me, I rather buy a 944 turbo. I can afford it and the others I own. Bye _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

the other problem is that 'Easiest' and 'cheapest' are both subjective. Whats easy and cheap for one, is not for the another.
Selling the car and buying a 44 would be easiest! |

I doubt the fact that you have a 924 with perfect wheel bearings, perfect bushings, perfect brakes, perfect suspension, perfect aerodynamics, perfect STEERING SHAFT & RACK, perfect tyres.
Then again...yes its your business...maby you wanna go "back to the future"?
Dont be surprised if nobody is "knowledgeable enough to solve your equation".....nobody realy wants to go that fast in a 924...what the hell...i just like to drive a bit faster than in a economy car...but still enjoy the road and the views of a nice trip. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

If that is the case, then he would only have to travel at 88 miles an hour!!! Oh, and one other small additive, a flux-compasitor.

If that's the case, you must already know the answer to your "equation". _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

Anybody want to buy a slightly used flux-capsitor. It can get you to 192 1/2 miles an hour. By the way pigs can fly too. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

Tie a rope between a Chayenne Turbo S and your 924...and you can reach 140Mph.
Why do you want to go that fast anyway ?
i've reached around 115mph and it had more in it as peak HP was not far from the RPM i was at. The front spoiler realy hepls alot at those speeds.
Just make sure your steering and brakes are in top condition. |
Down force ..I put on a 944 hatch it adds alot of force at speed... I have extra fuel capabilities with the csv just by adding a momentary switch.
Ive seen 120 mph my na feels like its on boost going that fast. what best is with a flick of the switch and its like the saying got milk I mean got boost. I get asked alot if my cars a turbo. I just shake my head and laugh. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

paper money looks good turned to into porsche paper 140 mph
is blindingly fast and unsafe on public highways on a track you strap in and go facing a guard rail contact or a flying trip into the wild dunnage of
track side you know something as a controlled spin -out on to some infield or outfield verses the crash and burn scene on the freeways here out west it happens all the time I get tired of it people can drive so scared
its silly
its agreable to on my side to and relax and be cool verses a riced out
speed attempt or a superman drivin a truck with bright lights then theres a the really relaxing road racing thrill of going with the big dog exocitcs of
the day & blah blah blah for those of us lucky enough to get our cars to the track well blah blah blah..
I suppose you could stick some nice streetbike carbs on a 924s as well as you can to a early na.
