Ok Im new. I have a friend who wants to sell me his 1977 924 4cyl
Before I purchase it can anyone tell me what the performance I should expect
has new alternator, engine rebuilt within last 30.000 miles |

The engine be rated either 95hp, or 115hp, depending on when it was built, and what pistons and cylinder head it currently has.
924s are not dragsters. They are touring cars with 4 cylinder engines.
Gas mileage will be good, accelleration will suck.
What you are buying is a transportation car with a nice looking body design.
Don't expect any more, and you should be happy. |

what about 1/4 mile times? 0-60?
im looking for something a little faster then my 2000 cougar
Hes told me he added supercharger

If you look at the specs the 924 does very well for a 20 year old single cam 2litre. The chassis will handle a lot more power with ease.
Realise that you're looking at a great handling, very pretty car that could handle twice the power the factory gave it and you won't be disappointed, if you think you're buying the equivalent of a 930 for $500 then you will be. |

Well, I've beat a Cougar at the track - but only because the loose nut behind the steering wheel couldn't drive. Check out that blower, see if it's legit, and drive it, but handling and braking is the 924's forte, not drag racing.
