yea but if you maintain it properly it will be worth much more. thats what i think. Anyway...i belive i will still get some good bucks on my car if i ever want to sell it. thats why i try to keep it fit and good looking.

That doesn't happen. If it was a Ferrari 348 you would get decent money back but you would have to first spend decent money to get it. Then spend $5,000 to maintain it then maybe if you're lucky sell it for what you paid for it. And that's if there isn't anything wrong.

These cars will not make you money if you buy them, fix them and sell them. Even if you pick up a free one, get it to run, replace a few interior parts, clean the wiring, fuel system, plugs, cap etc. Then what? Is it a daily driver? probably not and you still only get what? $800. If that covers parts and shipping, what do you get for your time? Cheap Porsches don't make people rich. It's a fact.

i found the $100 difference between an 82 931 and an 88 924S interesting, seem the varience should be greater than that to me.. i got a laugh at the 83 944 starting at $4689 in soso condition also, $1500 would be a stretch imo.. but, whatever..
Bruce can pimp up the prices all he wants, its all good with me, maybe we will get a bit of "appreciation" eventually.

Does anyone seriously think a sportscar is an investment? Play the market if you want to make money, don't buy an old Porsche. Rarely you'll get lucky and buy a model cheap, hang on to it for 40 years, and make a profit. Early 911S's are getting good prices now. But who is crazy enough to buy a sportscar with the intent of making money off it? You would have better luck trying to make a profit off of selling your blue jeans from the '60's!

$40,000 40 years ago is worth much nore than $40,000 today. Include the fact that that $40,000 could have been making you money in a bank or investment over the last 40 year too.
