Atleast let someone here go pay the bill and take it. I can understand your frustration though. Best of luck in whatever you decide.

Dont let the car kick your butt!!
Its supposed to be a hobby, fun and relaxing!
If you went standalone and thought that you could just bring it to a shop for tuning and working out the details...I think you bit off more than you wanted to chew. I wish I was closer, I have retrofitted a few cars using Electromotive a couple times.
Have you visited the forums at www.efi101.com , great people.
Hang in there. _________________ 87-924s |

It's not the electromotive system.
The car has 107 rwhp (peak)
Why then it the car slower then my truck (loaded with firewood in the back)
The reason is anywhere else the car produces about 50-55 rwhp
No one can tell me why.
BTW: This was professionally tuned. And then brought to a different shop to confirm its not the tuner.
This has been an expensive mistake.

There are many "professional tuners" out there that really don't know what they are doing. Not sure where you took it.
An engine is a pretty simple device, have you gone over everything in a systematic way?
Has your timing been verified with a good old timing light? Have you checked the compression on the engine....ya I know its rebuilt and fresh but this test can show other issues also.
Walk away from it for a little while. _________________ 87-924s |

Just my opinion, but I think there is a good possibility you just built yourself a slow car. You keep looking for something 'wrong' .... did you consider that perhaps there is nothing wrong?

DO NOT CRUSH THAT CAR!
I will book a ticket and personally come and pick it up from you. I need a 924 anyway...
I tell ya what, when I come to pick up my 924 from you, I'll show you what it can do.
You pick a course, Point A to Point B. You drive your truck full of wood and I'll take my newly acquired 924. As long as Point A to Point B is more than a mile and there's no intersections (throw in some switchbacks would be really good), I can tell you already who's gonna get from Point A to Point B first _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Oh, and Applebit, it might be worth verifying cam timing. I got an "oops" grind on a 914 cam from Webcam once. . .not even close.
Set the engine on TDC for #1, and #4 should be dead on overlap (both intake and exhaust open, near equally).
Just to make sure they did the grind correctly in relation to the timing mark on the cog. . . _________________ Toofah King Bad
