The power window fuse is number 8 in the aux fuse box (the smaller one) but if it were the fuse, neither window should be working. _________________ -Stu

You can actually pull the switch out from the interior, disconnect it and carefully pull the front off to clean the innards. They have a lot of dirt in them from 20 years that decreases conductivity. The innards can also get a bit bent; I had to gently bend mine a bit and now the windows work fine.
Just be careful to not drop stuff and put it back the same way! _________________ 1983 - 924 (185K miles) - not mint

One note on cleaning the switch.
When you take it out be very careful. You can accidentally pop the cover to the switch off in place ... in the car I mean.
If you get the switch out ok... here is a tip... disassemble the switch over a nice large cloth (towel) or what ever they call it in your part of the world
I can not recall then the change happened but in the early cars the switches had ball bearings as the pivot point. These bearings have a habit of poping out of the switch and running across a floor... into holes or what ever else... lost for ever. So if you take the switch apart on top of a cloth... they are much less likely to bounce and roll away.
Just a tip from old Uncle Eric

If you do take the switches apart, and find that you have the ones with the ball bearings as contact points, THROW THEM OUT !
The ball bearings have a tendency to drop out of position, and then what you get is a wiring short, and in severe cases a wiring fire.
The later/improved door switches use a piece of tubing with a closed end as the contact, and they do not cause fires. If you find you have this type, the old grease can be removed, and replaced with silicone based grease or distributor cam tube, and reassembled. |

Rainy days mine go up slowly. Warm days they are okay. Now I only drive on warm days and never on rainy days and when the wife eats beans. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"
