I am looking at putting some different rims on my 924 other than the factory ones.(not that i don't like the originals)
If anyone has changed their rims from the stock ones what rims do you have on and which makes or models were they off.
Is it worth changing from 4 stud to 5 stud? If so what is involved?
can someone please post a list of cars that rims would fit on my 4 stud 924.
Cheers

| Since no one replied I will tell you that you can find 4 bolt spider rims for sale here or on the Rennlist.org. They are 15 in. Changing the car to 5 bolt is expensive and maybe not worth it. Take the money and buy new rotors and brake shoes and pads and replace them. The stock setup works well for me on my track car. Questions? Ask someone will answer. |

I just kept searching the ebay motors wheels section for "*108*" and "*107*" (including the astrisks, but not including the quotes) until I found wheels which I could both afford and liked the look of.
I ended up with these:
There is more info on my wheels on my website here.

Those are funky wheels, Alex. American Racing Engineering made 4 bolts in many sizes, those are what are on my brothers NA.
The problem with EBay is being sure what you are going to get. An aftermarket wheel may not have the bolt pattern the sell quotes, and the EBay insurance policy only covers item cost, not the shipping. |

| The wheels in the photo look like thay are for a FWD (front wheel drive) car. The offset is wrong for a 924. |

The offset works perfectly, the only problem I have is that the width of the front tires are wide enough that at full turn they rub the spring without the quarter inch spacer.
I personally don't believe there is such thing as a "front wheel drive" and "rear wheel drive" wheel, that is just what people at tire stores tell people so they don't have to explain back spacing and offset to everybody they talk to.

I have bought lots of things from EBay, just be sure the bolt pattern is correct.
Apparently, according to Body Shop Rob, the 4 bolt Ford wheels will fit. |

Early Audi rims have the same spacings as the 924 N/A depending upon which rim you might need to run a 5mm spacer to clear the brake caliper.
Also some 4 bolt Alpha Romeo wheels fit as well as the 4 bolt Ford (F** on Race Day).
To get wicked acceleration I used to run some 13inch Ford rims with racing rubberon my early 924 N/A. Max speed was only about 90mph but it got there fast. |

Yesterday I have seen something very similar to the 4 bolt spiderweb on a (Found On Road Dead) Focus.

Cars with a 108 pcd
PCD - CENTRE BORE - OFFSET
Audi 80,90,100 4x108/35-42,57
Citroen BX,ZX,Xantia,Xsara,Saxo 4x108/15-22/65
All Ford 4x108/35-38/63.3
Mazda 121 4x108/30-35/63.3
Saab 900,9000 4x108/30/65
TVR Carbera 4x108/35-38/63.3
Pug 106 4x108/12-15/65
Pug 205,306,405,406 4x108/15-22/65
Volvo 850 4x108/35-38/65
Be careful with some of the older wheels, they may have to have the bolt wholes bored as they have a 12mm bolt whole rather than the 924 and modern rim whole of 14mm.
Also depending on style and size to check the calipers will sit right, spacers can easily solve this problem as said in the previous post.
I hope this helps.

You'll never convince me a 4 bolt 924 shares the same bolt pattern as a TVR Cerbera.
Try American Racing Engineering. They aren't the lightest wheels, but they're cheap and come in just about any size you want. 13X10? Who would want a 13X10 wheel? I know, i know, drag racing. |
