hey guys...anyone know how the 'rotary temp'knob on the AC works??. My AC kicksout cold air but nothing happens when I turn the knob full cw or ccw??

I believe that's part of a thermostatic control for the ac and works in concert with a temp sensor that's attached to the fins on the ac evaporator under the dash. Clockwise should give max cooling. I don't really notice any difference when I change the setting on mine either. I don't think it can be changing the temp of the evaporator in a gradual way though. It should be just switching the compressor on and off, leaving it on longer when the knob is turned more clockwise.

| Smoothie's got it. The outer rotary nob controls the temperature by turning the compressor on and off. All the way clockwise, full air, all the way counter clockwise, no air. I usually run mine about half way once the interior is cooled off. |
