I will be dipping inot my credit card this weekend and buying some tools.
My car didnt come with the "built in" toolkit, and I would like to make it up. What does the toolkit come with? Preferably an '85 RHD kit, but I dont really see them being any different.

The tool kit that came with the car looks like a sorry little collection that would only be appropriate for a new car that won't be in need of repair.
There would have been:
1 tool bag (a sheet of fabric or vinyl with 6 pockets).
1 "wrench for spark plugs" (a funny looking thing with a spring in the middle).
1 "screw driver, angular" (this is actually an allen wrench and is used to drive the "wrench for spark plugs").
1 "wheel wrench".
1 "tommy bar" (to be used in concert with the "wheel wrench").
1 "fork wrench 10 x 13" (an open end wrench).
1 "handle".
1 "screw driver blade" (phillips one end, flat on the other - this went into "handle").
1 "universal pliers" (these look like electricians pliers - they knew these would be needed some day).

I got this kit with my car, along with an electric tire inflator, the original spare and jack, and the green and red manuals.

The only good thing in the tool kit is the spark plug tool. It works really well, as that last plug is a real bitch to get at.

You're not missing much...

the red book is the owners manual, and the green is warranty. Mine came with the red and green. full size spare, with matching 8 spoke rim(not the collapsable)a jack, and lug wrench. No tire inflator, no tool kit.

My stuff is bass ackwards. The owners manual is green.

Mine came with the collapsible spare, lightweight jack and a tiny rusty 1/4" drive socket set that was not OE. I added an electric pump, a small hydraulic bottle jack, a box of tools, coveralls, foldable wheel chocks, a gas can, an owners manual... You just reminded me I have to take the inflatable spare out and see if one of my winter tires will fit in there. I've only had one flat - sort-of. Parallel parking one time I brushed into the curb at just the right angle to break the bead and separate the tire from the wheel. Very strange - it must have been low on air too. Instead of dealing with the inflatable spare, I borrowed the bartenders' car, went home and grabbed one of my winter tires. The "de-rimmed" tire just needed to be reseated and pumped up again.

The coveralls remind me of a little adventure with the purple van before it was purple. Working about 7 miles from home, I was driving home on a busy 2 lane road in rush hour traffic in rain and light snow. Something suddenly breaks and I have no clutch control. I pull over as much as possible, pull on the coveralls over the shirt and tie gittup and crawl under to investigate. Find a broken rod that was the clutch linkage. No way to fix it right there. I got back in, removed the engine cover, got the tall bar style jack and used it as a lever to move the clutch fork when necessary to shift. Fun drive, me, my jack, my engine exposed right next to me, slick road below, but finished the remaining 5 mile drive home and made myself a new linkage from some 1/4" rod.

Mine came with the same thing Smoothie's did. My owner's manual is also green and I too have no idea what the red manual is. That jack is a POS, though. You can't even lift the car enough with it to get jackstands underneath.
