| when taking the wife to her golf lessons, I noticed that may driver side door lock can simetimes be truned and unlocked by ANY key. With a bit of jigging, I can get it to lock. Any ideas on how I fix this without replacing the lock (which will involve 2 door locks, 1 hatch lock, 1 ignition. No thank you.) |

Very likely the lock has become gummed up with cheap lock lubricant/deicer. First try putting graphite-based lock lubricant in there, see if that frees it up. I fnot, remove the handle and then the lock. The lock can disassemble and the sliders of the lock can be removed individually, cleaned throughout, lubricated with graphite, and reassembled. Costs nothing except some time and a can of graphite lock lube.
