Hey guys
I need to check my aux air regulator cos i'm having a cold start prob on my 1980 931, ive checked in the haynes manual for the schematic. Unfortunately cos i'm a f**kwit when it comes to mechanics i can't see which it is in the engine.
If anyone can point me in the right direction as i know the layout is slightly different to the 924na i would be greatful, please feel free to patronise me cos i really don't know what i'm looking for (hey we all have to learn
cheers

Ants- With you standing in front of the car facing the engine compartment it should be behind the aluminum crossover charge tube and to the right of the distributor. It has a fairly large hose attached and an electrical connection. This is all towards the back of the engine. There's a method to test whether or not it is working in the tech section. Good luck.

i have never worked on a 931 but it should look similar its a round disc about three inches across on the top it has two large rubber hoses one attached to either side its about 3/4 inch hose one hose comes from the air intake before the air reaches the throttle valve housing and the other hose runs to the intake after the throttle valve by the cold start valve the bottom of the auxillary air regulator there is a cone about 4 inches long with 2 wires attached
its attached to the intake manifold infront of the distributor at the rear of the engine the whole this is a dull silver color |
