Running betwwen 1/2 and 3/4 is not really too hot. My fan doesn't come on until the 3/4 mark.
Maybe you have a control pressure problem, i.e. the WUR is not increasing pressure as the engine heats ... |

A while back I made a mental note of a post where she replaced the AAV with a heater valve. That way extra cold start airflow could be controlled manually from the drivers seat.
Just a temporary fix ... |

Turn the mixture screw CCW untill the flow stops and take it a quarter turn back. Fine tune from there...
According to Harms description you turn until flow stops and then richen a bit? My experi ... |

So it starts fine with any one of the plugs removed, or a specific one?
If you are getting too much fuel at cold start, it may be fx:
- Control pressure (WUR)
- Cold start valve open for too lo ... |

Timing/vacuum hose varies, you need to post year/model of your car.
If yours is a post-1980 Euro (possibly earlier models as well, I am not sure), then you want 10 degrees BTDC, vacuum line off.
