My idle starts at a quite lumpy 750-800 when cold then settles out to a nice 1000 when warm...So what's going on there?,opposite symptoms,could this also be down to the WUR?

Thanks Ozzie,

I was really questioning why my car didn't fire with a battery that was quite capable of cranking the engine,working lights etc.It was only a bit low.

My fan stopped working - i checked all the usual culprits (fuse,fan switch etc)and it turned out to be the spade connectors at the fan.I cleaned up/squeezed them tighter but ended up cutting them off ...
